Frequently Asked Questions

Is the practice part of a concierge network?
Dr. George participates in the Castle Connolly Private Health Partners network that includes the best doctors in the country. Patients may be familiar with Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors® lists, which is published annually.

Can patients be seen via telehealth?
Once Dr. George is familiar with a patient and their health issues, telehealth visits by phone or Zoom can be arranged unless the patient’s condition requires an in-person visit.

If I need to go to the hospital, where will Dr. George send me?
Dr. George works hard to keep his patients out of the hospital, but when it’s unavoidable, you and the doctor decide together which hospital is best for your unique situation. Dr. George maintains formal privileges at The Mount Sinai Hospital and at Lenox Hill Hospital, but visits his patients at all New York hospitals and, as your primary care physician, will coordinate your care with the hospital care team at any New York hospital you’re admitted to.

How will I be billed?
Patients are billed for membership by Castle Connolly Private Health Partners monthly, quarterly, or annually.

Does Dr. George accept insurance?

Are family packages available?
Family membership rates are available.

Do patients have access to a portal to access test results, notes from the doctor, etc.?
Yes, Dr. George believes that when patients are fully informed about their health, they’re better able to make good decisions in consultation with their doctor.
